Hello, my name is Audrey and I am the owner/operator of Lakeside Grooming. This is me with my old golden, Nike and her two new siblings, Frankie and LUDO. Since this photo, sadly, all three have are no longer with us... but they left such a big hole, we now have four big beautiful mastiffs!
We love every dog who enters our home, and shares their lives and love with us. But sometimes, one touches you even more, gets that much closer... that was Frankie. She was odd, special, so beautiful and unique, forever my baby girl. She changed us, we protected her... she made us mastiff people, I'm forever grateful, and I'll love her always...
We love all dogs, all breeds, all sizes... but there is something about a mastiff. They somehow simply own you... maybe it's their size, their quirks, their goofy behavior.. whatever it may be, we are addicted!
Halo and Caymus are litter mates, they filled in for Frankie when we suddenly lost our beautiful first mastiff.
V (vinnie) and Pickle (Nick) also litter mates, came into our lives when LUDO past. LUDO was our amazing second mastiff. He proved to love life more than anyone. After being diagnosed with liver issues and given 6 weeks to live, he stayed with us for an additional year and a half. We are forever grateful to have had him in our lives and grateful for the additional time he gave us... he was our special boy!
Prior to opening Lakeside Grooming, I managed a well-known, reputable salon in Massachusetts. I worked there for over 20 years, and absolutely loved it! I started washing dogs at the early age of 12, and after many intense years of one-on-one, private grooming lessons with the owner, I became an all-breed professional groomer myself. I managed all aspects of Four Paws Salon while Pam, the owner, had her two beautiful children. And, also during this time, I also went to college and received my bachelor degree from Bentley.
I do wish to thank Pam for my career... and for everything she taught me. It was definitely hard work, but we had a lot fun, and it was very well worth it! I am forever grateful. Thank You, Always!
After moving to the Lakes Region, I had to choose between commuting over 2 hours a day to MA, or starting something new. Well, I tried commuting for a while, but that got old quick! So, here I am...
20 years ago, I made the decision to open my own salon right here in NH! I specialize in all breeds, including cats. There is (was) no dog too big or too small, I love them all! I will take exceptional care of your loved one, as if they were my own.... with all that said, unfortunately, after 40 years of grooming, my body is failing me. My hands have little to no strength left, my shoulders are junk, and my back is killing me. YUP, hazards of the trade... Now, sadly, there are breeds I can no longer groom... due to my ailments.
During these 40 years, I also maintained a career in the high tech industry, where I grew my website development skills, marketing knowledge, and broadened my depth. I'm thankful for this career as well.
Extra Info, I eluded to above... I hold a BS in Marketing from Bentley College, graduated Cum Laude. If I didn't mention that, Mom and Dad would never forgive me! I must thank them both for all their support and encouragement throughout the years. They made me realize I can accomplish anything I set my mind on. A little determination and hard work goes a long way. Thanks Mom & Dad!
Thank you as well to all my customers throughout all the many years, four legged and two! I truly appreciate and love you all...
